TROY, Ala. – The Troy Softball team is Baton Rouge bound for the LSU Invitational in the final weekend before Sun Belt play begins. The Trojans kickstart action in the invitational with a doubleheader against No. 22 LSU Friday at Tiger Park.
The Trojans (11-2) picked up wins against the reigning MAC champions, Miami (OH), and No. 25 Ohio State before Sunday's action in the Carolina Classic was canceled due to inclement weather.
Leanna Johnson (7-1) earned her third consecutive Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week award after earning both wins and giving up no earned runs last weekend.
