TROY --- Troy senior quarterback Brandon Silvers recalled his best memory at Veterans Memorial Stadium during the team’s weekly press conference.
“Probably after the App State game (in 2016). That was really fun,” he said. “Just coming back and the defense holding them at the end of the game … and I showed off a little bit of wheels, too. That’s always fun. Nobody knew I had those.”
That win defined the Trojans’ program in several ways. The come-from-behind win gave the Trojans seven wins in a row and powered Troy into the Associated Press Top 25 – the only instance where a Sun Belt Conference squad has appeared in the AP Top 25.
