Brandon Silvers threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Deondre Douglas with 17 seconds remaining to lift Troy past Arkansas State 32-25 on Saturday night in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
With the victory, Troy (10-2, 7-1 Sun Belt) claimed a share of the Sun Belt Conference championship for the first time since 2010. The Trojans split the title with Appalachian State, which routed Louisiana-Lafayette 63-14 earlier in the day to also finish 7-1 in league play.
Arkansas State (7-4, 6-2) trailed 24-13 with 6:15 left, but scored two touchdowns to jump on top 25-24 with 1:28 left. Troy then drove 72 yards in nine plays without a timeout for the win.
