Troy quarterback Brandon Silvers has accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 Reese's Senior Bowl, it was announced Thursday.
Silvers, an Orange Beach native who played high school football at Gulf Shores, becomes the sixth quarterback in this year's game. He joins Virginia's Kurt Benkert, Washington State's Luke Falk, Richmond's Kyle Lauletta and Western Kentucky's Mike White and Oklahoma State's Mason Rudolph as those confirmed for the Senior Bowl, which takes place Jan. 27 at Mobile's Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
