Troy senior quarterback Brandon Silvers has been named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week following an impressive 27-24 win over New Mexico State for the Trojans.
Silvers completed 25-of-40 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing for 28 yards and the game-winning touchdown in Troy's Sun Belt opener victory.

Leading 20-16 late in the third quarter, Silvers converted a huge third-and-10 with an 11-yard completion to Jordan Chunn.
