TROY – Troy senior quarterback Brandon Silvers played like, well, a four-year senior starter last week in the Trojans’ 34-7 victory over Alabama State.
A week after the Troy offense was held out of the end zone at Boise State, Silvers directed an offense that rolled up 611 yards of offense. The senior from Orange Beach completed 32-of-40 passes for 345 yards against the Hornets.
“I don’t know if ‘wake-up call’ is the right word,” Troy head coach Neal Brown said Wednesday at his Irma-delayed weekly press conference. “I think he was putting some pressure on himself going into the season that probably didn’t need to be there.
