ATLANTA – The Troy offense, somewhat deflated following a 19-8 home loss to South Alabama, got a bunch of its swagger back during a 34-10 thumping of Georgia State on Saturday afternoon.
Quarterback Brandon Silvers threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns as Troy built a 21-3 lead by halftime and the Trojans defense caused havoc all day long in the dominating victory.
Troy improves to 5-2 overall, 2-1 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Georgia State, winners of three straight entering the game, falls to 3-3 overall and also 2-1 in league play.
“What we really wanted to do is be in attack mode,” Troy coach Neal Brown said.
