TROY, Alabama – Troy outdoor track and field has 12 athletes competing in 10 different events at the NCAA East Preliminary Round hosted by South Florida in Tampa Thursday through Saturday.
Sun Belt Men's Freshman and Newcomer of the Year Jared Hayes will compete in the 200-meter dash and Women's Freshman of the Year Precious Ogba is set to run in the 400-meter.
The most experienced Trojan in the Prelims is Hakim Montgomery, who is making his third consecutive trip to postseason play – racing in the 100-meter sprint.
