TROY – Troy left guard Kirk Kelley is a big guy, but LSU week has put a bigger smile on his face.
“ I’m getting a lot of calls already about it. Everybody is ready for it and is questioning me about it,” the 6-foot-4 sophomore said Monday. “They want to know when we get there. It’s exciting already.”
Kelley hails from the New Orleans suburb of Marrero, La., about 90 miles from LSU’s home in Baton Rouge. It is the first time Kelley has had a chance to play in his home state since coming to Troy in 2015.
