TROY – Troy was on the scoreboard just 39 seconds into the game against Texas State at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday afternoon.
It was a sign of things to come.
The Trojans completely took the Bobcats apart during a 62-9 victory – which marked the most points ever scored by Troy in a Sun Belt Conference game and the fifth most since moving to Division I in 1993.
The scoring assault began two plays into the first drive of the game when quarterback Brandon Silvers hooked up with Tevaris McCormick on a 10-yard TD pass, the third quickest scoring drive of the year.
