TROY – The Trojans returned to practice Monday following their first break of fall camp, and the results left more to be desired, Troy head coach Neal Brown said.
“We were average. It was competitive, but it was average football,” he said. “Not a whole lot of energy, attention to detail wasn’t very good. We’ve got a lot of work to do if we’re truly going to be an uncommon football team.”
Troy senior wide receiver John Johnson echoed his coach’s thoughts.
“We were a little lackadaisical today,” he said. “Could have been a lot better – just little attention-to-detail type stuff.
