TROY – Troy shot a season-high 52.6 percent (30-of-57) from the field, cruising to a 77-58 victory over North Alabama in non-conference basketball action on Saturday morning inside Trojan Arena.
The game was part of the Barclay Center Classic. Troy finished the event with a 2-2 record including back-to-back wins.
The Trojans (3-3) held the Lions (2-4) to 32.2 percent (19-of-59) from the field, the lowest percentage and fewest amount of field goals made by an opponent this season.
Troy saw four players rack up double digits led by senior Jordon Varnado with his fourth 20-point game this season and second consecutive, dropping a game-high 20 points to go with six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal.
