Troy linebacker knew Trojans would be winners after loss

Troy middle linebacker Justin Lucas' college football career started with two undefeated seasons and back-to-back NJCAA national championships at East Mississippi Community College.

"I went 24-0 at East Mississippi, so I've got a winning culture in my mind," Lucas said, "and that's just something I tried to bring to Troy when I signed here."

But the Trojans went 4-8 in Lucas' first season. After his ninth loss with Troy, though, Lucas knew the 2016 season would be different than 2015.

In their second game this season, the Trojans lost to Clemson 30-24. The Tigers went on to a spot in the CFP semifinals as the No.
