Troy Linebacker Carlton Martial has been named a semifinalist for the Burlsworth Trophy.
The Burlsworth trophy is given to the nation's most college football player who began his career as a walk-on.
Martial has 92 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and an interception so far this season. He averages 10.2 tackles per game and has the sixth-most tackles in college football this season.
Martial has led Division 1 college football in tackles with 333 since the beginning of the 2019 season. He has 37.5 tackles for loss over that span of time.
