TROY, Alabama – A day after slotting second in the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, nine Troy players were named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, the league office announced Friday. The preseason team is voted on by the league's 12 head coaches and a media representative from each school.
Quarterback Brandon Silvers, wide receiver Emanuel Thompson, offensive lineman Steven Rowzee and defensive tackle Baron Poole were named to the first team. Running back Jordan Chunn, wide receiver Deondre Douglas, offensive lineman Deontae Crumitie, cornerback Kamryn Melton and safety Kris Weatherspoon were named to the second team.
