TROY, Alabama – After splitting its four-game series with defending Big East champion Xavier over the weekend, the Troy baseball team will host Samford on Wednesday at Riddle-Pace Field; first pitch is set for 6 p.m.
The game was originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday at Samford, but was moved due to the threat of rain and unplayable field conditions. The teams will simply swap home dates with Troy now traveling to Samford on March 21. Season ticket holders can use their tickets for the March 21 game against Samford for admission Wednesday night.
Troy (2-2) won games two and four of the series against Xavier behind solid starting pitching performances from Evan Hebert and Houston Mabray.
