Ty Keyes starts for Southern Miss
Against Grambling State last week, then-starting quarterback Trey Lowe was injured in the first half, prompting his exit from the game.
USM did not reveal its starter until kickoff, when it was announced on the ESPN+ broadcast that Lowe was out with a foot injury.
Ty Keyes started, completing 16 of 27 passes for 157 yards and two interceptions in his first start.
