TROY, Alabama – Quick, name the college football programs that rank in the top eight nationally in victories the last two seasons. Did that list include Troy? If not, back to the drawing board.
Head coach Neal Brown has led the Trojans to 21 victories over the past two seasons, which is the eighth-best mark in the country – only Alabama, Clemson, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State and Washington have more.
Troy returns to the football field this week as the Trojans open spring practice on Tuesday at 4 p.m. It will be Troy's first official football activity since a 50-30 blowout of Conference USA West Division champion North Texas in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 16.
