TROY – Even though it provided a hectic three weeks for he and his staff, Troy head coach Neal Brown said he views the early signing period as an overall positive.
“The old model wasn’t working. It was a model that was basically updated 20 years ago or more,” Brown said Wednesday after the Trojans inked 14 players. “In the timeframe, how we communicate, how early the recruiting process starts, how we watch film on recruits, how we go about visiting high school campuses and junior college campuses – all those things have changed, but the rules haven’t.
