MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Troy dropped its final pool play contest of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament against UTA Friday at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala. The Trojans couldn't overcome a hot Maverick start as they fell, 11-5, bringing their season to a close.
Drew Frederic (2-5, 2B) and Dalton Sinquefield (2-4, 1 R) each registered multi-hit games while Logan Cerny homered for the 15th time this season.
UTA (27-29) started fast with six runs on six hits in the opening frame to grab an early lead.
