LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – A pair of two-run home runs powered Louisiana past Troy in the series opener Friday night at Yvette Girouard Field.
A sacrifice fly by Bailey Curry that scored Kara Gremillion in the top of the first inning put Louisiana (21-3) on the board first.
A two-run home run by Julie Rawls gave the Ragin' Cajuns a three-run advantage, but Troy (18-10) answered with in the top of the fourth with a run.
Madeline Porter hit a double into left center to score Taylor Corbett who got on with an infield single to put Troy on the board.
