Troy falls at Appalachian State

BOONE, N.C. – Troy dropped a Sun Belt Conference road tilt against Appalachian State 47-10 Saturday afternoon at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The Trojans (4-5, 2-3 Sun Belt) were held to 231 total yards and managed just 13 first downs compared to the Mountaineers’ 554-yard offensive output.

"We didn't play very well,” Troy head coach Chip Lindsey said. “We had a little spurt in the second quarter. We can make all different types of excuses, but at the end of the day, we just aren't playing good football. We have to keep challenging our team, stay focused and flip the switch tomorrow.
