TROY – Troy senior quarterback Brandon Silvers played coy Monday when asked if he had something special for the crowd in his final home game.
“I guess we’ll wait and see,” he said.
For Trojan fans, it was worth the wait as Silvers fired four touchdown passes in the first half as Troy routed the Texas State Bobcats 62-9 Friday. Silvers threw for 377 yards in the first half, including 196 in a 24-point outburst in the final 3:57 of the second quarter.
“Our bye week, it was crazy. Our practices were up-tempo,” he said. “Their defense really didn’t do well with our tempo.
