JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Troy (1-0, 0-0 Sun Belt) won it's first match of the season Friday afternoon after sweeping Southeastern Louisiana, 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 26-24). The Trojans are now 2-1 in season openers under head coach Josh Lauer.
The Trojans were lead by Cheyenne Hayes and Halston Hillier who tallied 17 and 11 kills, respectively. Amara Anderson added 39 assists and 11 digs for Troy.
"It was a fun start to the season," head coach Josh Lauer said. "We showed some grit late in games and that was the big difference maker for us.
