TROY, Ala. – The countdown clock for the 2022 college football season is nearing its expiration and one of the checklist items to help reach that point takes place Wednesday with Troy's trip to New Orleans for the Sun Belt's annual Football Media Day.
New this year for the event is a two-day format, with the East Division taking center stage on Tuesday and the West Division getting the spotlight on Wednesday. Thanks to the infusion of new members in the league, Troy has transitioned to the West Division beginning with this season.
Head coach Jon Sumrall will be joined in New Orleans by a pair of multi-year All-Sun Belt First Team selections in linebacker Carlton Martial and left tackle Austin Stidham.
