Troy Comes Up Short in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. - Troy drops back-to-back matches in its Bayou State swing on Sunday to Louisiana, 4-2, at the Cajun Courts.

The Trojans (5-8, 0-2 SBC) fall to 0-2 to start conference play for the first time since the 2010-11 season - finished the conference at 3-3 that year.

Taking the Final Two
The match was tied up, 2-2, when Anastasiia Khokhlova and Kristina Kukaras were still in play.

Khokhlova dropped the first set, 6-2, before hammering a nail-biting victory in the second, 7-5.

In the end, Khokhlova fell in the extra set to Catarina Zheng, 7-3, placing the Cajuns at match point, 3-2.
