Troy bounces back with 34-10 rout of Georgia State

Troy rebounded from its most disappointing loss of the year with a 34-10 rout of Georgia State in Atlanta on Saturday.

Despite playing without injury running back Brandon Chunn, the Trojans (5-2, 2-1 Sun Belt) rolled up 457 yards of offense against the homestanding Panthers (3-3, 2-2). Brandon Silvers passed for 335 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Troy built a 21-3 halftime lead.

"We had a play that we thought would be a home run out the gate, and we really made an attempt to hit some balls down the field," said Troy coach Neal Brown, whose team was coming off a 19-8 loss to arch-rival South Alabama on Oct.
