Matt Sanders, Joey Denison and Brandon Lockridge each drove in three runs as Troy routed Texas State 10-0 in the Sun Belt Conference tournament semifinals Saturday in Lafayette, La.
The Trojans (41-18) advance to the tournament championship game against top-seeded Coastal Carolina (41-17) at 1 p.m. Sunday. Troy has not won the Sun Belt tournament title since 2006, and has not reached the NCAA regionals since 2013.
On Saturday, Daren Osby (7-1) pitched a two-hit shutout with no walks and eight strikeouts. The game ended after eight innings due to 10-run rule.
Troy led 3-0 after three innings on Chase Smartt's RBI single and Lockridge's two-run triple.
