BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Troy fell in game one of the LSU Tournament 2-0 to No. 10 Minnesota in a pitcher's dual, as the Gophers remain undefeated at 15-0. The Trojans now move to 10-8 on the season.
In the circle for the Trojans, Senior Rachel Rigney Brown pitched a complete game throwing two strikeouts and giving up six hits to the Gophers. Brown now moves to 5-4 on the season. For Minnesota, senior Sara Groenewegen threw seven innings and only allowed the Trojans to get two hits.
The Trojan defense showed up strong as Troy did not allow a run through three innings of play.
