TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Troy fell in a tightly contested series to No. 20 Florida State Sunday afternoon at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee. The Trojans jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead but ultimately fell 4-2 to the Seminoles in the finale.
Rigsby Mosley (2-4, HR) and Clay Stearns (3-3, BB) each posted multi-hit games while Bay Witcher struck out a career-high eight batters and opened the game with four scoreless frames in a five-inning outing.
Mosley's solo home run, his first of the season, came on the first pitch he saw and got the Trojans on the board first in the top of the opening frame.
