BATON ROUGE, La. – It was a tough start to the Tiger Challenge for the Trojans as they dropped both games of the tournament to LSU (14-25, 15-25, 13-25) and Penn State (18-25, 21-25, 16-25) on Friday from the Maracvich Assembly Center.
Troy (2-3) struggled on offense as Julia Brooks led Troy with nine kills against LSU as Troy hit 0.60 as a team. However, LSU (2-2) was sound defensively, accumulating 11 blocks compared to the Trojan's four as well as 27 digs to Troy's 19.
For the Tigers, Paige Flickinger led all players with 11 kills and four service aces, as Amara Anderson once again led all players in the match with 24 assists.
