Joey Denison, whose original senior season last year was wiped out by an injury, made the most of his final year in college baseball.
Denison was named the Sun Belt Conference’s Player of the Year on Monday, the day before the league’s tournament begins in Lafayette, La.
Denison wasn’t the only Trojan recognized by the league. Rigsby Mosley was named Freshman of the Year and Drew Frederic joined Denison on the All-Sun Belt first team.
“We’ve had so many guys do so many wonderful things this season, but it starts with Joey Denison,” Troy coach Mark Smartt said Monday morning.
