Trojans Come Away Victorious in Extra Inning Thriller

MONROE, La. – A five-run 11th inning gave Troy their second Sun Belt series sweep of the season as the Trojans totaled 15 hits and used four RBIs from Donovan Whibbs to beat the University of Louisiana-Monroe 13-10 Sunday afternoon at Warhawk Field.

ULM (10-19-1, 5-7-1) battled back from being down six runs in the game's final two frames to send the contest to extra innings. But Troy (21-10, 8-4) didn't wavier in the face of adversity as they participated in their first extra-inning game of the season.

With zeros being put up by both teams in the 10th, William Sullivan and Kyle Mock started the 11th inning with two straight singles, and Trey Leonard reaching on a throwing error set the table for Troy to win the ball game.
