TROY, Ala. – The Troy soccer team tied the game in the 54 minute but conceded in the 78 to drop a 2-1 result to Murray State on Friday at the Troy Soccer Complex.
The game remained scoreless for the first 51 minutes until the Racers (2-0) found pay dirt off the right foot of Miyah Watford. Cori Cain set up the score by lobbing a pass from midfield over the Trojan back line. Watford then headed down the ball and drove it home from eight yards away.
Troy (1-3) answered quickly when drove a left-footed cross that was meet by , who's headed shot sailed over the keeper and into the net for the sophomore's second goal in as many games.
