For all the accomplishments the Trojans achieved, though, head coach Neal Brown noted Troy could be even better – hearkening to the program’s history as an example.
“Our motto’s been ‘Rebuild the Wall.’ Anytime we talk about ‘Rebuild the Wall,’ I want people to understand the wall is still not built,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of foundation pieces there, but it’s still not built.
“The wall that we talk about was built on national championships in the lower divisions, multiple playoff appearances in FCS, and then in our Division I (FBS) history, our five consecutive conference championships.
