TROY --- Through the first six games of this season, Troy quarterback Brandon Silvers had thrown just two touchdown passes and three interceptions – and that didn’t make a lot of sense.
Silvers, a four-year starter, had almost every weapon back on a prolific offense. As a junior, Silvers threw a Sun Belt-leading 23 touchdown passes and averaged 245 passing yards per game. His 12 interceptions were the second fewest in the league by any quarterback with at least 350 attempts.
Silvers took his share of grief for the drop in production, but so did his experienced and talented receiving corps.
