TROY, Alabama – Troy senior outfielder Trevor Davis has been named the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Davis posted a .529 batting average (9-for-17) with six RBIs, a home run and three runs scored as the Trojans knocked off No. 5 Auburn and defending national champion Coastal Carolina. He finished with multiple hits and multiple RBIs in three of the four games on the week and posted a 1.285 OPS.
The native of Fort Mitchell, Ala., opened the week with a flawless performance at Auburn where he went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and was also hit by a pitch.
