TROY, Alabama – Three Trojan baseball players; Joey Denison, Chase Smartt and Corey Childress were recently announced as all-stars of their respective summer baseball leagues.
"I'm very pleased with the performance these guys have put on in summer ball," head coach Mark Smartt said. "All of the guys have done great so far and it is going to help for the upcoming season."
Childress, who plays with Harrisonburg Turks in the Valley Baseball League, has averaged close to a strikeout per inning with 41 strikeouts in 41.1 innings pitched.
