TROY – Troy senior receiver Emanuel Thompson will reserve the emotions for another time.
There’s too much yet to be accomplished.
“We still haven’t accomplished the goal we set out from game one, so the emotions – they’re being held right now,” Thompson said when asked what he was feeling while walking off the Veterans Memorial Stadium turf for the final time in a game situation. “But I’ll really be emotional when we win it.”
Following Troy’s 62-9 blasting of Texas State on Friday in the home finale, the Trojans can win at least a share of the Sun Belt Conference title next Saturday at Arkansas State.
