TROY, Ala. – Troy sophomore second baseman Taylor McKinney has been named to the NFCA All-South Region First Team, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Thursday. McKinney is the only player not from an SEC program on the South Region First Team.
McKinney, a Montgomery native, led Troy with a .349 batting average, 51 RBIs, a .691 slugging percentage and a 1.145 OPS. She tied for the team lead with 12 home runs and finished second on the team with 10 stolen bases. Additionally, McKinney ranks 40th nationally, averaging 0.96 RBIs per game.
