TROY, Ala. – Coming off a week in which she scored 28 points in one game, hit a game-winning shot in another and averaged a double-double, Troy's Tai'Sheka Porchia has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Porchia averaged 20 points and 13.5 rebounds in Troy's wins at Texas State and Louisiana, in addition to blocking three shots and coming away with four steals across the two games.
A native of Camden, Ark., Porchia scored 28 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in Thursday's game at Texas State, in which the Trojans rallied from down nine in the fourth quarter to come away with the victory.
