The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN have agreed on an 8-year contract for exclusive broadcast rights of all the league's sports, according to a report by the Associated Press.
The conference is scheduled to make a "major announcement" at 3 p.m. Central on Tuesday. CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd also reported on Thursday that a deal between the Sun Belt and ESPN was imminent.
South Alabama and Troy are both Sun Belt members. This fall, the league will go to a two-division format in football, with a championship game set for Dec. 1.
The Sun Belt currently streams its non-national broadcast football games and conference tournaments for other sports via espn3 and the Watch ESPN app.
