TROY – It took Troy’s Joey Denison about a third of the 2016 season to adjust to the Division I level after starring at Southern Union State Community College.
After a cool start, he eventually led the Trojans in several major hitting categories – including average (.322), runs (42), doubles (14), homers (seven) and RBI (37). He earned second-team all-Sun Belt Conference honors at the end of the season.
