Strong depth sharpening Troy's receiving corps

TROY – As good as Troy’s wide receiving corps was last year, the Trojan pass catchers may be poised for an even better 2017.

The Trojans return virtually all of their receivers from last year, including first-team all-Sun Belt Conference selection Emanuel Thompson and second-teamer Deondre Douglas. But it might be some new – and familiar faces – that really make the core of the corps that much stronger in 2017, though.

“We return all but 10 catches from last year, but we didn’t have a lot of depth last year at wideout,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said Monday.
