TROY, Alabama- Troy softball (26-17, 10-7 SBC) continued its winning streak as it won both games of the Friday night doubleheader against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (22-22, 5-12 SBC) at the Troy Softball Complex.
The 12th-ranked Trojan defense continued to impress as it shutout the Chanticleers in game one of the doubleheader and only allowed one run to cross the plate in the final game of the night.
Game one: Troy 1, Coastal Carolina 0
Troy plated its lone run of the game in the third inning as Erica Davis led off with a double down the left field line.
