Special events accompany bowl week for Troy Trojans football team

Troy quarterback Brandon Silvers is well familiar with Mobile, the site of this week's bowl game, since he's a native of nearby Gulf Shores.

The Trojans arrive in the port city today for a string of practices and press conferences throughout the week. Troy head coach Neal Brown said he wants his team to enjoy the bowl experience while also preparing to win the Trojans’ 10 th game this season.

Troy has not won 10 games in a season since joining the FBS in 2001.

“Objective number one is to win the game and get that tenth win, but this is also a reward for a team and program,” he said.
