TROY, Alabama- Troy's (27-18, 11-8 SBC) seven-game winning streak came to an end on Wednesday night as the South Alabama Jaguars defeated the Trojans 7-0 under the lights at the Troy Softball Complex.
South Alabama (23-21, 8-10 SBC) out-hit the Trojans 11-3, and got off to a hot start scoring the first two runs in the game on a single from senior Kaleigh Todd as she broke the school's hit record, and an inside the park home run from Haleigh Lowe.
A solo home run in the second, followed by back-to-back triples and a sacrifice fly in the third inning gave the Jags a five-run lead over the Trojans.
