RBs Henderson, Smith shine in Trojans' scrimmage

TROY – Even though Troy star running back Jordan Chunn saw little action Friday, the Trojan running backs still put on a show during the team’s scrimmage at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Sophomore B.J. Smith ripped off about a 60-yard run and redshirt sophomore Jamarius Henderson added several strong runs as part of a 1-2 punch that highlighted the session. Their performances hint at how deep and talented Troy’s backfield might be in 2017.

“Offensively our two running backs, B.J. Smith and Jamarius Henderson, stood out,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said. “I think we’ve got four quality players.
