The Troy running back, thrust into a star’s role after an early-season injury to Troy’s biggest star, was certain of his reaction.
Had he been told, before the season, of the impact he’d be having on this year’s team, what would he have said?
“’I think you’re crazy,’” Billingsley said of how his younger self, all of 2 months younger, would have reacted.
“That’s what I would have thought,” he said. “‘I don’t know about that.’ At the end of the day, I’m very blessed to have the opportunity to be in this role.
