TROY, Ala. – Troy men's tennis' Pelayo Antuna was named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week after helping lead Troy to a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
Antuna, who becomes the second Trojan in as many weeks to be named the player of the week, earned his first career player of the week honor after going 2-0 at No. 1 singles, 1-0 at the No. 1 doubles and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles in Troy's three matches this past weekend.
After a slow start to the dual season Antuna has found his groove, posting a 6-2 record over his last eight singles matches, including a three-match winning streak.
